Sutherlin Consulting has more than 40 years of industrial-applications experience working with reactive and refractory metals, including all aspects of metal production: ingot makeup, melting, forging, plate and strip rolling, extrusion, pilgering, drawing, conditioning, machining, casting and recycling of scrap. We hold two patents covering material processes, and have worked with fabricators, engineering companies, and chemical producers worldwide to help ensure these materials are designed, fabricated and used in the proper applications and environments.
We also have assisted numerous companies worldwide to determine the reason if a failure does occur, and to help ensure the failure won’t happen again. We’ve trained hundreds of welders worldwide (via classroom and hands-on workshops) to properly weld and repair reactive-metal equipment, and we’ve trained hundreds of engineers and technical personnel, worldwide, in all aspects of these specialty materials.
